A bit more about us

Syli is a nonprofit organisation and by joining us you’ll become part of our passionate, energetic team committed to achieving Syli’s social objectives. All the work we do is underpinned by our values of sustainability, synergy, equality and transformation.

Our workplace culture

We’re a friendly, approachable team and we take pride in what we do across all aspects of our organisation as we work together to bring about real and meaningful change. Our culture is one of togetherness; celebrating our achievements together as well as supporting each other through challenges. Together we’re able to make a difference that we simply couldn’t achieve alone.

Our values in action

Sustainability: we work in a way that takes into account both the short and longer term. Our decision making includes considering a wide range of environmental, economic, and social factors to enable us to act responsibly and meet needs without compromising the future.

Synergy: we know that what we can achieve together is greater than what we can each achieve alone. That’s why collaboration and cooperation are at the heart of how we work.

Equality: we think everyone should have the opportunity to make the most of their lives and their talents. That’s why we work in a fair and inclusive way and plan our work so that we remove barriers and address the challenges of inequality.

Transformation: we’ve got big ideas and big ambitions – sometimes a little is just not enough to bring about meaningful change.

What it is like to work with us

Working hours: most Syli roles, whether full or part time, are based around UK working hours, we are happy to discuss what flexibility looks like for you.

Location: We are a remote-first company but for some roles there is a requirement for some in person working which will primarily be in the London / Surrey area of the UK.

Wellbeing: We believe good physical and mental health is important for everyone and we support and encourage our team to make wellbeing habits part of their working day.

Fika: a weekly opportunity to grab a cuppa and hang out online to socialise with your colleagues.

Environmental action: being climate friendly is at the heart of everything we do and the way we work.

Professional development: as we transform the media ecosystem, it’s essential we grow personally and keep learning as a team.

Tech equipment: laptop provided so you can do your job.

Pension: with ethical fund options available after successful completion of probation (currently only available to UK employees).

Annual leave: time to switch off and get away is something we value, (that’s why we give our UK employees 28 days holiday plus bank holidays).

We are an equal opportunities employer and we welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons. If you are unable to apply via the online application portal or require any amendments that will assure a fair process, please get in touch.

About location-based pay

For international applicants, we use a location multiplier tool to help us work out a fair rate taking into account factors such as the local job market, related experiences, and parity across our team.
